I had the pleasure of
addressing many institutions this year. The experience for students at
Harvard, MIT, University of Maryland, University of Pennsylvania,
Wellesley College, Boston University, Bennington College, University of the Pacific,
Kalamazoo College, Wittenberg University, Baldwin Wallace College, Drury University,
Columbia College and Austin College was tremendous. Partnerships between departments
were nurtured and collaborations forged so that all students and faculty could benefit from
my time on campus.
As we still come to grips with a changing world, it is more important than ever to
encourage students to develop a global consciousness.
